www.theglobaldigital.com Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park was the first
national park in the world. Yellowstone is
one of the most popular national parks in the U.S.
receiving over 2 million annual visitors.
The park is well known for its geo-thermal activity
(Old Faithful) and its wildlife.
Yellowstone is located primarily in Wyoming but
extends into Montana and Idaho. The park is
just under 3500 square miles.
The park and its protected areas are one of the best
spots for viewing the American Bison. It is home to
the largest public Bison herd in the United States.
On March 1, 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant signed
The Act Of Dedication law that created Yellowstone.
There are campgrounds, cabins and lodges in Yellowstone
and the surrounding National Forests. Making advance
reservations is highly recommended.
