The Hunger Games Movie Review

  The Hunger Games is a fictional story about

Katniss Everdeen, a warrior, a romantic, and 

someone willing to choose principle over popularity.

Based on the best selling book of the same name, 

The Hunger Games takes place in a future world

struck by famine, drought, and other calamities.

There are 12 districts in this New World where two 

teens are chosen from each district by an electronic 

lottery to participate in The Hunger Games.

The event is one of survival. Survival of the elements

both natural and man-made. Not only are participants

expected to survive these obstacles, they are  expected

to survive each other, as only one can be the winner, and

in this game keeping your life is the ultimate prize.

There is an underlying message in the movie and

we'll leave that interpretation up to the audience.

Taking on the lead character, Jennifer Lawrence gives

a tremendous performance as a young woman who

is faced with being a vigorous hunter-predator while 

refusing to lose her compassion and love. There are

stand out performances by Woody Harrelson and 

Stanley Tucci that brings credibility to the film and

their characters.

We highly recommend seeing The Hunger Games on 

the big screen, "and may the odds ever be in your favor."
