  In The Descendants, Matt King (George Clooney)

is the patriarch of a Hawaiian family whose ancestors

include Hawaiian royalty.  The family over time has

inherited land and have one remaining parcel left on

Kaui.  King's relatives seek to end the family trust

and sell the last remaining property to developers

for a huge monetary windfall.

        Elizabeth King, the wife of Matt King, and mother to

his children, is in a boating accident and has been put on

life support. The accident lands Matt King and his children

in difficult circumstances, after learning of his wife's affair

with a local real estate agent.

       Now facing the approaching death of his wife, the

responsibility of single parenthood, and the decision on

the family land sale, King must find his moral compass

and determine what really matters the most to him, his

children, his family, and his ancestors.

       As Matt King, George Clooney reveals the raw emotion

of his character and takes on a complex man who musters

the integrity and devotion to do what's right. Clooney gives

the audience an outstanding performance that lingers long

after the closing credits.

    The Descendants has a spectrum of emotion ranging from

pain and anguish to comedy. The entire cast is brilliant with

notable performances by Beau Bridges, Shailene Woodley,

Robert Forster, and Nick Krause.

    The Descendants is a must see movie and we give it our

highest recommendation.
