Truly, one of the best films of 2011, if not

of all time.  A thinking man's film...

Brad Pitts' performance is nothing short of Oscar 

worthy. Playing a Texas husband and father of three

sons, he is a man of few words, one who obviously 

loves his family but has difficulty expressing it in a 

more emotional way other than simply living it the way 

he feels is the right way, for both himself and his family.

Equally impressive is the film's use of  images-expressing 

nature's turbulent force that stirs-up its own recipe.

            The mixing of the elements, of the universe

into splendiferous servings of cosmic consequence.

   If the film has a subliminal message it could be that man

is faced with a choice : one of acceptance of nature's 

natural happenings, or one of bitter resentment of nature's

influence in our lives.  One feels through all the

happenings-joyful and sorrowful-that befall the characters,

in this film,they opt for graceful resignation. The films story is often

heart-wrenching, and will carry the viewer back to his own

childhood and life and the remembrance of his own joys

and sorrows.  If one allows himself to reflect on his own life 

and nature's influence , he might come to the conclusion one

is inescapably encircled by nature's Oneness of Being.
