The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey Movie Review

  In this latest tale of dwarves, elves, hobbits

and their mystical wizard, one is taken on a

journey from the shire through a perilous world

of dark magic and dangerous creatures.

  Gandalf convinces Bilbo Baggins to join him and

the dwarves on an amazing adventure to reclaim

Lonely Mountain, now the home of Smaug, the dragon.

After much discussion, Bilbo Baggins, the dwarves and

Gandalf begin their quest. Faced with trolls, goblins, and

other dark creatures there is no shortage of danger and

excitement.

  Peter Jackson returns as director and as a familiar hand

at the wheel of the franchise. The story does lag in the initial

first half hour, or so, and then immediately the action picks up

and goes full-throttle. Fans of Middle Earth and J.R.R. Tolkien

should be pleased.

Not a must-see-movie, unless you are die hard fan of the franchise;

but, it's a good set-up for the two remaining films in the prequel.
