    Get The Gringo is  proof that Mel Gibson

still has all the skills necessary for a fast paced

flick that is both predictable yet addicting.

 Sure, you may quickly determine what's going to happen

next, but the movie is so well done it simply doesn't 

matter.  This is the best Mel Gibson performance in

more than a decade and is packed with tough guy,

cigarette smoking, guns-a-blazing action.

   After a memorable high-speed chase, Gibson's

character is arrested by Mexican authorities and taken 

to the local prison.  There he befriends a mother and

son, and displays his unique survival skills both in and

out of jail. From the first frame to the end, Get The Gringo

sets a quick pace never losing the audience. The movie,

although action-packed, has a dose of humor that just seems

to glue the whole pulp-like adventure together.
