Tribes Ascend Game Review

  Tribes Ascend is a futuristic class based shooter with the speed of 

of a racing game. The game focus is online multi-player between 

two tribes, the Blood Eagles and the Diamond Sword in several 

game modes. This game is very good looking with planets and 

giant buildings making maps feel  interesting and unique. 

  What makes Tribes unusual is Skiing. Skiing allows the player to 

build momentum using the environment and a jet pack. As players go 

downhill they gain speed as they approach an upslope. One can use 

the jet pack to keep the momentum and build upon it. This makes 

for fast game play and a challenge when trying to hit an enemy 

player traveling at top speed. 

  There are three class types with three variants. These include light,

medium, and heavy armor. The light classes are Pathfinder, Sentinel and Infiltrator.

These classes are all about speed and surprising  bigger opponents.  

The medium classes are Raider, Soldier and the Technician, these 

classes focus on blending speed and power. The Heavy armor 

classes are Brute, Doombringer and Juggernaut, these classes 

sacrifice speed for damage. 

Tribes Ascend has a big learning curve but once you attain the skills to ski 

and hit enemies you will have a great time with this free to play shooter.
