Soul Calibur 5 Game Review

The eternal battle of the Soul Calibur and the Soul Edge continues

but there are new faces in the fight. The Story centers around Patroklos

and his sister Pyrrha who have been selected to wield the legendary 

weapons and are the descendents of Sophitia form previous Soul Calibur

games. The Story mode is short with 20 episodes, each comprised of a

single 3 Round  battle or several short 1 round fights.  

   There are several new characters in this game but most are 

the old characters with a different model. These characters fight 

with the same weapons and movements as characters from the previous 

games in the series. There is an in-depth character creator that allows you 

to customise the pre-existing characters with your own style but it is completely 

superficial and has no effect on game play. 

    This entry in the Soul Calibur series is much more multi-player focused with the 

addition of the global coliseum. Global coliseum allows players to chat with each other  

before matches and find online battles and tournaments. There are also 

ranking systems that unlock more items for the character creation 

and show your level of skill online. 

  We would recommend this game only to fans of the series
