Portal 2 Game Review

Developer : Valve Corporation

Publisher : Valve  Corporation

Released : April 19, 2011

Welcome back to Aperture Science, a lot has changed since you have been gone.

Portal 2 puts you back into the boots of Chell, the main character form portal.

This game takes place some time in the future and puts you up against GLaDOS,

the neurotoxin loving, murderous robot, from Portal. There is also a couple of new

additions to the the Aperture Science team, Wheatley and Cave Johnson. Wheatley

wakes you as the game starts and is your wise cracking companion that helps

you in your attempt to  escape the Aperture Science testing chambers. Cave Johnson

the founder of Aperture Science talks to you through some of Apertures

earliest testing chambers.

Opposed to the tight, confined and concise level design of Portal, Portal 2

allows you to see the underside of Aperture Science. Portal 2 shows you

how Aperture Science has been affected by the ravages of time

with over grown plants covering some test chambers, and lack of

maintenance has deteriorated the structure of the facility. Portal 2

also shows you the vastness of the Aperture Science facility with stunning

vistas showing off the inner workings of Aperture.

Portal 2 is the best written game I have ever played, not only is it funny

but by playing through the single player campaign you learn about the

history of Aperture Science.  The Co-op campaign gives you

another perspective of the events that you experience during the single player

campaign. Playing a co-op game and solving a challenging puzzle with a

stranger is a unique experience that is rewarding and mentally stimulating.

We highly recommend Portal 2 to anyone.
